Use one of your regular journeys under 5km, and try to walk or cycle it instead of driving or using public transport. You’ll likely be pleasantly surprised at what a difference it makes in terms of fitness, and time gained. Perhaps it doesn’t take as long as you thought, or it could even take less time than driving, but the benefits to you and your community are priceless. These schemes are set up to benefit employees by saving between 25-39% on the cost of a bicycle and cycling accessories. Liftshare is an easy to use and great tool for finding other local people to partner up with. Car sharing is not only great for regular journeys such as commuting but also for one-off trips to events, concerts and festivals.
