Yearly Monitoring

Our Travel Plan monitoring of Brightwell Lakes Martlesham, is set to begin in Autumn 2024 Updates will be provided here closer to the time.

When monitoring commences, there is nothing you need to do as a resident apart from carrying on with your normal day to day activities! Our survey will involve recording all movements in and out of the development and movements along footpaths within the development. Therefore, you may notice some people located around Brightwell Lakes, Martlesham In addition to this, you may notice some cameras located around. These recordings are not used for any other purpose other than travel habits and are not distributed to third parties – all information recorded is encrypted and stored securely, in accordance with UK GDPR.

We have to update the Local Authority on the results of the Travel Plan monitoring; however, no personal data is shared and no individual can be identified from the report. The Smarter Travel Team are always striving to demonstrate the importance of the environmental and health benefits of increasing the use of more sustainable modes of travel as an alternative to private car. As part of our role, we will conduct an annual Travel Plan review, including an annual Travel Survey sent to all residents, to give you a platform to provide valuable feedback to us and Taylor Wimpey Homes.

As highlighted in our Travel Plan, our plan of action is to provide information and advice concerning appropriate cycle and walking routes for residents. We will also continue to liaise with relevant authorities to highlight any maintenance issues throughout the year.
