For those that are less able to travel by regular public transport, there are community transport options available in the area. Kent Karrier is a Dial-a-Ride service that operates within Kent, providing residents with accessible transport for a range of travel needs including to the supermarket, town centre or medical appointment. Services are available Monday-Friday between 10:00-13:00, bookings need to be made at least 1 day in advance. Call 01892 832447 between 09:30-16:00 to book a journey. Red Zebra is a volunteer car service in the Whitstable area. It is provided for those aged 55+ who may find accessing public transport a difficulty but are able to get in and out of a car independently. Memberships cost £14 per person or £20 per couple. You can apply to be on the waiting list for a membership here.
