New Travel Information Packs are ready to be distributed to residents of Stour View, Brantham, Suffolk, which is one of our latest Travel Plan projects.
Smarter Travel Limited is pleased to be appointed as Travel Plan Coordinators by Taylor Wimpey for their 288-dwelling development in the village of Brantham, located close to the Suffolk/Essex border. With the first residents moving in, we can’t wait to work with them to encourage and promote sustainable travel choices where possible. Within the village, there are local amenities for residents to travel to by foot or bicycle. Brantham is located to the north of Manningtree, which provides a large train station, regularly used by commuters. Additionally, Brantham is south of Ipswich which we expect to be a popular location for residents to travel to.
As with all our Travel Plan projects, we encourage and promote healthy lifestyles and sustainable, vibrant communities by working with various stakeholders, we hope to highlight the benefits of sustainable and active travel whilst also accommodating those journeys that need to be made by car.
Through the Travel Plan, residents have access to various measures including two one-month bus tickets for local services or alternatively, a £200 active travel voucher which can be redeemed online against walking or cycling equipment, including children’s items, and cycling equipment. All residents can also receive a Personal Travel Plan which highlights all of their travel options between two locations – their home at Stour View and a regular destination such as their workplace.
To support the Travel Plan measures, we have produced bespoke Travel Information Packs which will be distributed to each household upon moving in. Details in the pack include information on local walking and cycling routes, public transport services, and details of travel discounts including concessionary options. In addition to the Travel Information Packs, we regularly update information on the Stour View Travel Plan website pages which can be found here: smartertravel.uk.com/stourview.
