The King’s Coronation – Community Events

The coronation of a King is a rare lifetime event, so to honour and celebrate this special event, why not involve yourself into the local community? We’ve put together a list for you:

Norfolk

• Where: Hethersett Village Hall, NR9 3JJ
• When: 8^th May, 12pm – 6pm
• Who: Ran by Hethersett Parish Council, Sponsored by Taylor Wimpey
• What: Community Picnic – with ice cream stands, a licensed bar, face painting, a live band, a magic man and competitions.

You can also volunteer for the ‘Big Help Out’, A “Back Garden Project” located on the same site.

• When: 7^th May 3pm
• Who: East Anglian Brass Band Association
• What: Concert

• What: Coronation and Chat (6th May from 10am), Celebration Service (7th May, 6:30pm), Craft Market / Refreshments/ BBQ (8th May, 10am to 2pm), Right Royal Organ Recital (8th May, 12 noon).

• What: Live broadcast of The Coronation Service (6th May, from 10am), ‘Coronation Big Lunch’ in Jubilee Garden, with live music in the band stand by Fairycroft House (7th May, 11.30am – 4pm). A live open-air streaming of the BBC Coronation Concert  (7th May 6.30pm).
