Farriers Grange, Final Travel Plan Update

The Farriers Grange Final Travel Plan update has now been completed, bringing us to the end of our monitoring period.

Thank you to all the residents that completed the 2017Â Travel survey and congratulations to the prize winners.

Overall, we have seen some great results for the development. Single occupancy car journeys have decreased by 5% since the 2014 baseline survey, which fits within governmentÂ guidance of between 2-6% for rural areas. Pedestrian numbers were much higher than expected – which is great news! 19.3% of residents walk to and from Farriers Grange, which is up from 7% in 2014 and 2015!

It has now been concluded that the Travel Plan targets have been met and the monitoring period will now end.

The Farriers Grange section of the Smarter Travel website and the Farriers Grange Facebook page will be closed down at the end of December. However, if any residents would like to take over management of the community Facebook page, then please contact us as soon as possible.
