This walking app has been created by the sports brand, Under Armour. Map My Walk is free of charge and available through iOS devices and Google Play. Designed to track all of your activities, you can obtain detailed statistics including your pace, distance, duration of walk, calories burned, elevation and more. This walking app also allows you to track your performance over time and check to see how your fitness is improving. Paid upgrades are available through the app and benefits include heart rate analysis and live tracking.

BetterPoints

Why not get paid to walk? Well you can with Betterpoints! So, why not download it for free and get walking?! Each journey you make earns you points which can be redeemed for vouchers or donate charity. Through this particular walking app you can also challenge your friends and colleagues to see who can make the most steps each day!

Footpath Route Planner

With the Footpath Route Planner walking app, you can plot walking routes with the app automatically snapping to roads and trails for you. Not only is this an easy and quick way to plot a route but you can also measure the journey distance and elevation. On the free version of this app, you can store five–walking routes for reference. Alternatively, there is a paid upgrade available; Footpath Elite.

This paid upgrade allows for unlimited maps to be saved which can also be used offline. Furthermore, there is turn-by-turn navigation and walking analysis available. Footpath Route Planner has 4.6 out of 5 stars in the Apple App Store.
