Community Travel

For those less able to travel by conventional public transport there are some alternative options available in the Melbourn area. Community transport schemes in Cambridgeshire include:

Royston & District Community Transport offers door-to-door transport for people living in Royston and the surrounding villages of South Cambridgeshire who are unable to use conventional public transport. This service can provide transport for all purposes including; hospital or other medical visits, day centre trips, social outings or shopping trips. Why not volunteer?

If you have a few hours spare each week, could you volunteer to be a driver? By using your own car you would receive a mileage payment (accident and liability insurance is included) and provide transport to those that are in need.
