Smarter Travel for Solihull

The Smarter Travel for Solihull project is being delivered by Solihull Council and is currently for residents of Tidbury Green.
The project is designed to provide you with information on your local travel options, travel news, and money saving tips. You also have the opportunity to claim a free travel incentive.

It may not be possible for everyone to make changes to their journeys, but we are here to help support you in choosing a more sustainable mode of travel where possible.

Incentives to claim:
As a resident of Tidbury Green, you can choose one of the following incentives to support more sustainable travel choices.

Cycle Training: A free 1:1, 1-hour adult cycle training refresher/learn to ride session. All abilities are welcome. If there is a particular route you would like to improve your confidence on then our trained cycle instructors will cycle you through it.

Free Travel Passes: Five one-day adult travel passes valid across the West Midlands on bus, train and the Metro Tram.

Free Beanies or Gloves: To keep you warm in the winter!

Cycle Puncture Repair Kit: Keep yourself on the move whilst cycling in the local area.

Prize draw entry:
You may also enter the prize draw to win either:

– A one year adult public transport season ticket or;
– An electric bike

The lucky prize winner will be asked to complete a 4-week diary to let us know how they are getting on with their prize!

Personal Travel Plans

As a resident of Tidbury Green, you can also claim a free Personal Travel Plan (PTP). A PTP identifies all of your travel options from A to B. Your PTP will also give full details including walking, cycling (where applicable), and public transport options. Also, it will detail journey duration, departure times and CO₂ emitted.
