Almost all new large housing developments require a Travel Plan, Completed by the appointed Travel Plan Coordinator.

Smarter Travel Ltd is taking on the role of Travel Plan Coordinator for Stour View on behalf of Taylor Wimpey.

The Travel Plan covers the accessibility of the development, local cycling and walking routes, the public transport network and local amenities. Alongside this, you can view the targets and measures for Stour View which are likely to be monitored until 2027. We are pleased to say that Stour View has achieved its Year 1 (2024) target and is currently exceeding the Year 3 (2026) target ahead of schedule.

The Travel Plan will be updated annually, the latest version is available to view here.

Travel Plan monitoring of Stour View will be undertaken annually in Autumn.

There is nothing you need to do as a resident apart from carrying on with your normal day to day activities! Our survey will involve recording all movements in and out of the development and movements along footpaths within the development. Therefore, you may notice some people located around Stour View. In addition to this, you may notice some cameras located around. These recordings are not used for any other purpose other than travel habits and are not distributed to third parties – all information recorded is encrypted and stored securely. Furthermore, data is deleted within six months of the survey.

We have to update the Local Authority on the results of the Travel Plan monitoring; however, no personal data is shared and no individual can be identified in this written report.
